It waits at the end of the bed. He fights them for a while. Everyone does. Then he gets tired enough to stop, and the question changes. Not how to beat them. Whether they can be tamed. Whether they ever wanted anything from him but company. Every frame drawn over by hand, until you can't tell which world is holding which. Somewhere in there, a man burns out with a smile on his face and finds what he was looking for by losing track of it entirely. NO AI. EVERY FRAME BY HAND.
